Programs
Bike Safety Rodeo is for children between the ages of 4-13 years old, or younger children able to ride a bicycle with the the assistance of training wheels or a balance bike*.
Participants must wear closed toed shoes and a helmet during the obstacle course. You may bring your own bicycle or use one provided by the Bike Rodeo staff. Please note bicycles with training wheels are limited. Balance bikes will not be available. Please plan to bring your own if your child requires a balance bike. This is not a drop off program. Parent/Guardian supervision is required.
Please note bicycles must be walked throughout the event area.
Space is limited. Please pre-register to reserve your space today. Each participant must be registered to participate. Limited walk up availability.

Join the Lathrop Police Department in a Bike Safety Rodeo at the Touch-A-Truck event on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Lathrop Generations Center. The Bike Safety Rodeo teaches kids essential bike safety skills through fun, hands-on activities and obstacle courses. Participants will learn how to ride safely, wear helmets properly, and follow road rules. This is perfect for young cyclists to boost their confidence and stay safe on the road!
